We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice outlines how we protect your personal data. It describes how we collect information, which information we collect and how KNF Neuberger GmbH (KNF) uses this information.

It also explains how personal data is collected when you use our website. Personal data is all data that can be connected to you as an individual, e.g. your name, address, email address or user behavior. We have implemented extensive technical and operational safeguards in order to protect your data from accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure that they are in line with the latest technological advancements.

 

1 The data controller responsible for data processing

The data controller within the meaning of Article 4, Paragraph 7 of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is KNF Neuberger GmbH (see our Imprint).

You can contact our data protection officer by sending an email to info.de@knf.com with “The Data Protection Officer” in the subject line, or by sending a letter to our postal address with the additional address line “The Data Protection Officer”.

 

3 Your rights

You have the following rights concerning the personal data we collect about you:

 

3.1 Your general rights

You have a right of access, a right to the rectification or erasure of your personal data, a right to restrict the processing of your personal data, a right to object to such processing and a right to data portability. If we are processing your data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent with future effect.

 

3.2 Your rights if your data is being processed on the basis of a legitimate interest

In accordance with Article 21, Paragraph 1 GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you when this processing is based on Article 6, Paragraph 1 f GDPR (data processing that is necessary for a legitimate interest), including profiling based on this provision. If you make an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or unless the data is processed for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

 

3.3 Your rights if your data is being processed for direct marketing purposes

If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right, in accordance with Article 21, Paragraph 2 GDPR, to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing purposes, including profiling where it is related to such direct marketing.

If you object to your data being processed for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for such purposes.

 

3.4 Your right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority about how we process your personal data.

 

4 COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA WHEN YOU VISIT OUR WEBSITE

If you use our website solely for information purposes, i.e. if you do not register or send us information in any other way, we will only collect the personal data that your browser transfers to our server. We collect the following data when you visit our website. This is necessary from a technical point of view to allow us to display our website to you and to keep it stable and secure. The legal basis for this is Article 6, Paragraph 1 f GDPR:

IP address, date and time of the request, time difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the content of the request (specific page/URL), access status/HTTP status code, the quantity of data transferred, the website from which the request was sent (referrer), browser version, browser engine and operating system version, type of request (GET, POST, etc.)

 

5 Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we will store the data you share with us (your email address and possibly your name and telephone number) so that we can reply to you. This information is explicitly provided on a voluntary basis and with your consent (Article 6, Paragraph 1 a GDPR). If you provide us with your contact details (e.g. your email address or telephone number), you also give us your consent to contact you, if necessary, using these contact details so that we can respond to your inquiry. You can, of course, withdraw your consent to this at any time with future effect.

Once it is no longer necessary for us to store the data we receive in this context, we will delete it, or limit its processing if it is subject to statutory retention obligations.

 

6 Online return form

If you contact us using the online return form, we will store the data you share with us (your company, address, name, customer number etc.) so that we can answer your questions. Any fields on the contact form requiring information that is not necessary for making contact are always marked as optional. This information is used to better understand your inquiry and to improve the processing of your query. Disclosure of this information is explicitly provided on a voluntary basis and with your consent (Article 6, Paragraph 1 (a) GDPR). If you provide us with your contact details (e.g. your email address or telephone number), you also give us your consent to contact you, if necessary, using these contact details so that we can respond to your inquiry. You can, of course, withdraw your consent to this at any time with future effect.

Once it is no longer necessary for us to store the data we receive in this context, we will delete it, or limit its processing if it is subject to statutory retention obligations.

 

7  Advertising

With your consent, and in accordance with Article 6, Paragraph 1 (a) GDPR, we will send you emails containing information on our current offers. Existing customers will continue to receive these emails on account of our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 (f) GDPR.

We will only send you our current offers via email. Other specially indicated information can be disclosed voluntarily and will be used to contact you personally. If you provide us with your consent, we will store your email address for the purpose of sending out mailings. The legal basis for this is Article 6, Paragraph 1 (a) GDPR.

You may withdraw your consent to receive our offers and unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time. To do so, you can click on the link provided in every email we send to you, or contact the data protection officer listed above.

 

8 Applications

You can apply to work at our company using electronic means of communication, in particular email. We will, of course, only use the information you provide to process your application and will not pass it on to any third parties. Please note that unencrypted emails are vulnerable to unauthorized access.

If you have applied for a specific position and this position has already been filled, or if we believe that you are equally or better qualified for another position, we would gladly forward your application on to the appropriate department within our company. Please let us know if you do not consent to your application being passed on in this way.

We will delete your personal data as soon as the application process has come to an end or after a maximum of six months, unless you have given us express consent to store your data for longer or your application has resulted in us concluding a contract with you. The legal basis for this is Article 6, Paragraph 1 a, b and f GDPR and Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

 

9 We do not use cookies or analysis tools

We do not currently store any cookies on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive, assigned to the browser you use, and provide certain pieces of information to the creator of the cookie.

We also do not use any tracking tools to analyze or optimize our website. We do not analyze how many users visit our site, which information is requested most frequently or how users find our website.

 

10 Data transfers

We do not transfer your data to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so, the transfer of data is necessary in order for us to execute the contractual relationship or you have previously given your express consent to the transfer of your data.

Your data will only be passed to external service providers and partner companies, e.g. delivery companies, to the extent needed to process your order. In such cases, the amount of data transferred will be kept to the minimum required. If our service providers have access to your personal data, we will ensure that these service providers observe the provisions of data protection legislation in the same way as we do while performing processing work in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. Please take the time to consult the privacy notices of these providers as well. The service providers are responsible for their respective external services, although we perform checks to the extent that is reasonable to assess whether these services are observing the statutory requirements.

We make every effort to only process your data within the EU/the European Economic Area (EEA). However, there is a possibility that we may appoint service providers who process data outside the EU/the EEA. In these cases, before we transfer your personal data, we will ensure that the recipient provides an adequate level of data protection. By this, we mean a level of data protection that is comparable with the standards found within the EU, as verified by means of EU model contracts or an adequacy decision such as the EU Privacy Shield.
